Application Schedule
Phase 1
Registration and submission:
12th January – 28th January noon
Decision and notification: 3rd February
Positive assessment of the first phase is required for the second phase. Whether you have passed the first phase, you will be informed via email by the IPSD office.
Phase 2
Interviews: 22nd Febraury, online via zoom
Publication of results: 4th March
Application Requirements
The programme addresses international students from all art and design fields as well as from all scientific and scholarly disciplines with a special interest in inter- and cross-disciplinary working as well as in the intercultural exchange between China and European and non-European countries.

The application-PDF should consist of the following documents:
1. A letter of motivation
with an explanation of interest in the master program and especially in studying in China: What visions, skills and ideas will you bring to the program? What do you expect from the program? What is your vision for your professional future? (600 words/4000 characters);
2. A curriculum vitae
(including e-mail and telephone contact);
3. A portfolio
of an independently produced sample work or collaboratively produced sample work with personal contributions clearly stated from preliminary studies (e.g. abstracts of scientific work, samples of artistic work);
4. A written research proposal
for the master thesis referring to one of the five study fields.
5. Two Letters of Recommendation from Professors
DISCLAIMER: Subject to the unpredictable developments in the global COVID situation, and to current travel restrictions to China, applicants who have passed the entrance exam in February 2022 might not be able to get admission to the programme for the winter term 2022/23. However, passed exams will remain valid three semesters.
