Open for application! New international master’s programme “Global Challenges and Sustainable Developments”

In collaboration with the Shanghai International College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University Shanghai we offer a new joint master’s programme in “Global Challenges and Sustainable Developments” starting in the summer term 2021.

The double degree programme pursues to develop and realise innovative forms and methods in university education with an emphasis on aesthetic, artistic, and inter-, cross- and transdisciplinary strategies, as well as strives to provide students with trans- and intercultural competences for shaping and designing the future world.

The highly innovative programme contains a large amount of ECTS which can be elected freely by the students. It brings young people from Europe and China together to acquire knowledge and competences they will need more than ever to tackle the Global Grand Challenges of the present and future. Students will be trained in skills and abilities that support them in “provoking the system” by combining artistic methods, creative strategies, and design-thinking concepts, with a deeper understanding of societal issues and challenges.

Graduates are awarded a "Master of Arts" by Angewandte and a "Master of Fine Arts in Art Design” or a “Master of Mechanics in Industrial Design" by Tongji University.
